J.J. Watt makes covers of ESPN The Magazine, Sports Illustrated No description found
HOUSTON – He's on billboards on the Houston area's busiest freeways and commercials on national TV.
Now, Texans defensive end J.J. Watt is gracing the cover of ESPN The Magazine and Sports Illustrated.
The publicity comes as no surprise given Watt's performance so far in the fourth season of his NFL career.
He's recorded 8.5 sacks, 39 tackles, has recovered three fumbles and forced one. Watt has also scored three touchdowns on the year and has deflected 7 passes through 9 games.
Watt was named the NFL defensive player of the year in 2012 and is the likely frontrunner for the award this season.
