Body found in CenterPoint Energy parking garage in downtown Houston identified

HOUSTON – The man whose body was found in a downtown Houston parking garage has been identified.

Police said about 4:50 a.m. Sunday, Cory Roussell was seen on security video running down Louisiana Street. Then shortly before 11 p.m., a security officer found Roussell deceased in the CenterPoint Energy parking garage at Louisiana and Dallas streets.

Roussell, 27, suffered apparent blunt force trauma to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. His cause of death is pending an autopsy by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

According to police, there are there are no known witnesses or suspects at this time.
