HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Harris County Sheriff's deputies are searching for two smash-and-grab robbers who struck a pawn shop on the north side of town Thursday morning.

The crooks robbed Sun Belt Pawn in the 300 block of FM 1960 and I-45.  Deputies said they smashed the glass cases, grabbed jewelry and fled the scene.
The abandoned getaway vehicle was found nearby in the 1900 block of Laura Brook and River Laurel.

Thompson Elementary School and both campuses at Clarke Elementary School were placed on precautionary lockdown just before 10 a.m., but those have since been lifted, according to Spring ISD officals.
