Driver slams car into cars stopped for train at Willow Center

HOUSTON – Three people were taken to the hospital after a man drove his car into traffic early Sunday morning, according to the Houston Police Department.

Officers said around 2 a.m. vehicles in the southbound lanes of FM 1960 stopped for a crossing train near Willow Center Drive. A man drove his Nissan Maxima into the back of a Mercedes Benz that was stopped there, said police, causing it to hit the car in front of it.

The men driving those three cars were all transported to the hospital in stable condition. said HPD. No one else was involved in the crash.

Police say alcohol was not a factor.
