On Tuesday, HPD homicide investigators released surveillance video of a Hispanic man with a mustache and wearing a gray hoodie getting into the passenger side of Hernandez's vehicle at around 9:45 p.m. on Sept. 14. Police believe the man was the gunman.

Several minutes later, a black four-door vehicle of unknown make or model pulled up to the rear of the gas station, where Hernandez was shot. The vehicle then drove off.

After the video was shown on Local 2 News and Click2Houston.com, investigators said they received information the suspect's identity.

Acuna, 18, was arrested Thursday without incident.
