HOUSTON – Houston police are looking for an armed robber who has hit at least two Cavender's Boot City stores. Pasadena police believe the same man robbed a store in their city, too.
The store at 101012 Gulf Freeway was robbed Saturday. Police told Local 2 a Hispanic man wearing a black business suit walked in, stole a pair of Lucchese cowboy boots valued at almost $700 and walked out.
Three employees followed the thief outside but said he then threatened them with a handgun.
Pasadena police were called Monday night to the Cavender's store on Fairmount Parkway after a man walked in and then walked out with a pair of the same, very expensive boots.
Workers at that store told Local 2 the man said he didn't need any help, he was armed and he suggested they didn't follow him. He left with the $700 boots in one hand and his gun in the other hand.
That was the second time the store in Pasadena was hit and witnesses said it was the same man both times. The same robber is suspected of hitting the store on 610 near Kirby a few weeks ago, according to employees.
In all of the robberies the suspect description is the same: A Hispanic male with long black hair, about 5 feet 2 inches tall and is driving a red Chevy Impala.
In the Pasadena robbery he was wearing a cowboy hat, boots and a khaki shirt.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Houston Police Department or the Pasadena Police Department.
