Employee shot by stray bullet in southeast Houston

HOUSTON – Police are searching for the gunmen who hit an innocent bystander with a stray bullet in southeast Houston.

According to the Houston Police Department, an employee was leaving the Auto Zone at Cullen Boulevard and Maggie Street when the bullet hit him in the hand Monday night. Investigators said someone shot the gun from a parking lot across the street after a fight broke out between two groups of men.

Police said the victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
