Fort Bend ISD recognizes its young leaders

FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas – The Fort Bend Independent School district is getting ready to head back to class.

The district kicked off the new school year with the Leadership Launch on Wednesday.

It was a chance for members of Fort Bend ISD to get together and share best leadership practices while listening to insight from inspirational speakers.

One of the speakers was still in elementary school.

Daizha Moton, who has been featured on Oprah, says all kids are gifted and with dedication they can reach their goals.

"If you have confidence in yourself and you believe in yourself and you never give up," she said. "You have to never give up on anything."

Daizha will be a fourth grader at Grover Elementary School in the fall.
