21 indictments obtained in narcotic-related cases in Galveston, surrounding areas

GALVESTON, Texas – Upon completion of an undercover operation led by the Galveston Police department, 21 indictments were obtained in narcotic-related cases within seven months.

Police said in "Operation Crumb Hustler" undercover officers purchased narcotics from drug dealers in the city of Galveston and surrounding areas.

The investigation, which began in January, produced indictments that included trafficking, manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance.

While 21 indictments have been obtained, police said only 15 people have been arrested. Six other indictments have been entered into a database as arrest warrants for the remaining subjects.
