Woman charged with murder in shooting during argument

PASADENA, Texas – A woman is facing a murder charge for allegedly shooting another woman during an argument.

Alisa Porter Elmore is charged with murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Elmore is accused of fatally shooting Sherry Blankenship in the head on July 19 in Pasadena.

"I think the suspect came to the house and tried talking to victim, which led to a verbal argument and the shooting," said Vance Mitchell, of the Pasadena Police Department.

The victim's boyfriend talked to Local 2 off camera and said he was with his girlfriend when the shooting happened. He said he once had relations with the suspect and he believes she wanted both him and his girlfriend dead.

Elmore, 47, is being held in the Harris County Jail on $80,000 bond.
