PD: Multiple people injured by flying debris in weather-related accident No description found
LA PORTE, Texas – As many as 15 people have been injured in a weather-related accident in La Porte.
According to La Porte police, flying debris struck 15 contractors at the Kuraray PVA plant at 13100 Bay Area Blvd. near W. Fairmont Parkway.
Police say the contractors went into the tent when the storm hit the area shortly after 7 a.m. Tuesday, but then fast-moving winds blew over the tent, injuring them.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and the workers were transported to area hospitals with minor injuries.
Police say the contractors worked for Grey Construction.
