HOUSTON – Authorities are searching for the suspect responsible for a series of property crimes at Memorial-area churches.
Between January 2013 and January 2014, law enforcement officials say the unidentified suspect vandalized three churches located between the 14100 and the 15000 blocks of Memorial Drive during ten separate incidents.
A church located on the 14100 block of Memorial Drive was vandalized on Sept. 20, Oct. 3 and Dec. 12, all in 2013, and once again on Jan. 11 of this year.
A second church located on the 14200 block of Memorial Drive was vandalized on Jan. 23, Oct. 22 and Nov. 11, all during 2013, and an additional incident on Jan. 20, 2014.
The final church located on the 15000 block of Memorial Drive was vandalized on Jan. 21 and Oct. 16, 2013.
According to authorities, various surveillance footage obtained by investigators shows a suspect thought to be responsible for the series of criminal mischief incidents. The suspect is described as a black male, between 30-35 years of age, and is believed to drive a Green 1996 Ford Taurus.
Anyone with information about the identity of the suspect is asked to contact Crime Stoppers of Houston.
