All-clear given after smell of gas at Cy-Falls High School No description found
HARRIS COUNTY – The all-clear has been given at Cypress Falls High School after the smell of gas was reported Monday morning.
The leak was reported to Cy-Fair ISD police just before 6 a.m.
A spokesperson with Cy-Fair Volunteer Fire Department said a strong smell of gas was reported to Cy-Fair ISD police just before 6 a.m. The smell was coming from the west end of campus near the high school's science department.
All students and faculty were evacuated from the building.
Cy-Fair firefighters and a Hazmat coordinator investigated the source of the leak. CenterPoint Energy was also notified.
The all-clear was given around 7:30 a.m. and everyone was allowed back inside the building.
Cy-Fair ISD said classes were not disrupted due to this incident.
There's no word where the source of the gas smell originated.
