On February 19, 2013, deputies say Tate and two accomplices went to a home at 13226 Benford Drive to visit Carlos Martin. For unknown reasons, the Harris County Sheriff's Office says Tate caused or participated in the violent death of Martin who suffered multiple stab wounds to the body and neck area.
With the help of an extended family and friends network in Houston and Louisiana, Tate has eluded capture since the murder and is currently believed to be staying in Kenner, Louisiana, or the Seventh Ward area of New Orleans, according to deputies.
Rashad Tate is described as a black man who is 5 foot 4 inches and weighs 125 pounds. He's known to wear shoulder-length dreadlocks but it is likely that he has cut his hair similar to the attached photograph. Tate often wears ball caps.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts should immediately contact Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477) or send a tip via the HCSO's free mobile phone app iWatchHarrisCounty. All callers will remain anonymous.
