Firefighters fight large flea market fire
HOUSTON – The Little York Volunteer Fire Department tackled a large fire at La Cinta Flea Market in North Harris County early Thursday morning.
Fire dispatchers said the fire started in a flea market at Gulf Bank Road and Airline Drive.
Fire crews arrived at the scene of the fire around 5:15 a.m. and could see flames and smoke coming from the back area of the flea market.
Crews had trouble getting access to the fire at first because the gates of the flea market were locked.
Airline Drive was shut down in both directions while firefighters worked to battle the huge fire.
