Inappropriate massage allegations at Spring spa

Three women have come forward against massage therapist

SPRING – A woman said a massage therapist crossed the line by touching her inappropriately at a massage spa in Montgomery County.

Cody Wayne Lewis, 40, is accused of sexually assaulting two women, and now he's under investigation again after a third claim was made.

Local 2 learned that a third woman came forward claiming Lewis inappropriately touched her at a Massage Envy in Spring.

Lewis is charged with one count of sexual assault. A grand jury did not find enough evidence to indict him in the first case.

Local 2 found that Lewis is not currently licensed by the state of Texas in massage therapy.

While the first case went nowhere, Phil Grant, spokesman for the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office said, "In light of this incident and the woman who's come forward we will be reevaluating the case that was no billed and could represent it to a grand jury if it becomes appropriate."

A spokesperson from Massage Envy's corporate office in Arizona told Local 2 that the spa where Lewis worked did not follow protocol. That Massage Envy terminated the franchise's license and the spa is now under new management.

Attorneys for Lewis sent Local 2 this statement regarding the case:"We are aggressively investigating this case and will fight these allegations in Court and not in the Court of public opinion.  Mr. Lewis is presumed innocent and has plead not guilty because he is not guilty.  We will vigorously defend him against any allegations including taking a prior allegation back to the Grand Jury.  This prior allegation was no billed because 12 independent and impartial Montgomery County citizens found no probable cause a crime was committed after a thorough investigation."
