Mobile morgue heading to West, Texas

HOUSTON – A mobile morgue belonging to the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences was dispatched Thursday to West, Texas.

It was deployed by the request of the South East Texas Regional Advisory Council (SETRAC).

The mobile morgue is a large cooled trailer with equipment to set up facilities to process the bodies.

SETRAC prepares our nine county regions for man made or natural emergencies, disasters and mass casualty events.

Likewise, our Trauma, Stroke, Cardiac and Pediatric committees work to establish standards of care and protocols for consideration/adoption by area hospitals, EMS agencies, and other providers.
