Olympic buzz sparks new idea for empty Astrodome No description found
HOUSTON – All of the Olympic buzz has sparked a new idea for what to do with the Astrodome.
During a commissioner's court meeting on Tuesday, the idea of turning the Astrodome into an Olympic training facility was brought up.
No official proposal has been made.
Other ideas for the empty building have included a casino, movie studio, hotel and a multipurpose facility that could be used for trade shows, exhibitions and sporting events.
Some have even supported demolishing it and building an outdoor plaza.
