HOUSTON – A woman is facing charges after police said she used a can of WD40 and a lighter as a deadly weapon.

Police said Victoria Shillingford, 36, used the items to make a homemade torch. She then used that torch to try to burn down her apartment in the 7700 block of Corporate near Sharpcrest in southwest Houston on Monday, investigators said.

Police said Shillingford then used the weapon to try and burn her neighbor.

Officials have not said what provoked the attack.

Shillingford has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Her bond was set at $30,000.
