HOUSTON – A train hit an abandoned car Monday morning after it was left on the side of railroad tracks in northeast Houston.

The train bumped the car near the intersection of Hirsch Road and Hopper Road. Police are investigating who may have left the Honda in such a dangerous position.

Despite the impact, the car was not badly damaged.

No one was hurt.
