HOUSTON – Officers are looking for the person responsible for the death of an aspiring rapper, and they are offering a $5,000 reward for information in the case.

Police said the murder happened Sunday, March 4th, when Dominique Domino Singletary left a meeting with his music producer at a recording studio between 9:30 and 10 p.m.

After the meeting, Singletary, 20, went to a friend's apartment located in the 300 block of Benmar.

As Singletary was walking from his car to the apartment, he was confronted by an unknown number of suspects.

During the confrontation, Singletary was shot and killed.

Investigators believe that the shooter was attempting to rob Singletary.
