The note describes an incident that happened at 7:35 a.m. Wednesday in the 3900 block of Dayflower.

According to the school, a junior high school student was approached by a man who stopped her and asked for her phone number. Officials said the girl refused and walked away from the man. She told officials he seemed annoyed, but did not initiate any more contact.

The man is described as light-skinned, black or Hispanic, early to mid-20s, with a patch of hair on his chin. He wore a white T-shirt, baggy pants, and a white sailor-type hat with the brim folded down. He also had a dark backpack and drove a red cruiser-type bicycle.

Katy ISD is investigating.
