CYPRESS, Texas – The FBI said it has arrested a bank robbery suspect dubbed the "G.I. Joe" bandit.

John Mathew Billings, 37, was arrested Monday after officials said he showed up at his probation office.

Around 4:30 p.m. March 7, officials said Billings walked into the BBVA Compass Bank at the 14000 block of Cypress-Rosehill in Cypress.

He was wearing an Army green, military-style shirt with glasses and a cap.

Officials said Billings pointed a gun at a teller and took off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Officials said no one was hurt during the robbery.

Billings has been charged with robbery and is being held on a $30,000 bond.

Investigators have not said what charge Billings was on probation for committing.
