Ex-employee accused of releasing IntraCare North Hospital patient information

No description foundHOUSTON – A former employee at IntraCare North Hospital has been accused of releasing patient information.
On Monday, the hospital notified 741 patients that their information may have been released.
According to the hospital, a former employee is under indictment on charges of fraudulent use or possession of identifying information.
Hospital officials said they believe the employee released some information belonging to patients who received treatment before Aug. 18, 2011.
If you believe your information was used in identify theft, call the Harris County District Attorney's Office at 713-755-5306.
Hospital officials said steps are underway to increase security.
