Black wedding veils become trend

HOUSTON – 'Tis the season to get married and the newest bridal trend may have you doing a double take.

If you thought black veils were more appropriate for funerals, think again.

In this week's Wedding Buzz from Weddings in Houston Magazine they show you how to work the style while working the aisle.

Here's what they suggest -- "a black veil is a bold move for your white wedding day. But worn right, with a sleek updo, perhaps a chic black belt and chunky jet jewels, a black bridal veil is THE statement accessory for the stylish bride. Concerned that trailing 20 feet of black tulle down the aisle might elicit a few gasps? Go for a retro-elegant black birdcage or delicate bandeau veil, accented with feathers or crystal-centered floral. Noir never looked so lovely!"
