Police: Fake urine found in car woman let them search

Detectives: Candace Chisholm admits to using fake urine for drug test

CONROE, Texas – Police came across a more unusual crime when they went to break up a knife fight between two women.

Conroe police said one of the women had fake urine inside her car, admitting she used it to pass a drug test.

Candace Chisholm, 22, has been charged with falsification of a drug test, a class A misdemeanor under the Texas Health and Safety Code.

According to police, the Willis woman traveled to Conroe to confront another woman about a dispute over a cellphone. The argument then turned physical.

"Looks like it started out as a pretty simple fight at the swimming pool, an argument. Some words got tossed back and forth and then it turned into a bit of a fist fight," said Sgt. Joe Smart.

According to Smart, the fight then moved inside, where Chisholm grabbed a knife and lunged at the woman. The other woman's brother jumped in between and suffered a knife wound to his hand, police said.

When officers arrived, they found Chisholm in her car, which she allowed them to search. That is where, according to police, they found a container that was labeled synthetic urine.

Detectives said that, without hesitation, Chisholm admitted to using the fake urine to falsify drug tests.

"Just recently I've had three, four, five reports come across my desk of people falsifying urinalysis," Smart said.

Smart said that most of the time suspects are caught at a drug testing center, trying to pass off the fake urine as their own.

Chisholm could also face more charges, since the stabbing victim may want to pursue an assault charge.
