HOUSTON – An energy company is making Houston its headquarters, which will create about 200 new jobs.
Direct Energy, one of North America's largest energy and energy-related service providers, is moving its head office from Toronto to Houston.

"Direct Energy is a perfect fit in Houston since we are the nation's energy hub, but more important are the new jobs being created here," Mayor Annise Parker said.
The company will hold a job fair at the Renaissance Hotel Ballroom, 6 Greenway Plaza East, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. on April 18. People will be able to apply for jobs across an array of specialties, including finance, administration, information systems, human resources, legal, procurement, internal communications, analytics and project management.
