HOUSTON – The memorial service for a firefighter who died after suffering an apparent heart attack at an apartment fire has been scheduled.
Family, friends and fellow firefighters will say goodbye to Houston Fire Department Senior Capt. Thomas W. Dillion, 49, on Monday.

His service will be held at Second Baptist West, 19449 Katy Freeway, at 10 a.m.
Dillion collapsed while responding to a fire at the Jade Stone apartments on Cook Road on Wednesday morning.
Firefighters immediately gave him CPR and rushed him to West Houston Medical Center, where he died.
Dillion was filling in at station 76 on Wednesday, but he normally worked at state 69.
Dillion left behind three children. His oldest child's birthday was on the day he died.
The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences will determine the cause of Dillion's death.
