Propane flare planned for Friendswood Flare will burn near bus barn on Woodlawn Drive

FRIENDSWOOD, Texas – The community of Friendswood will see a controlled propane flare Monday morning.
Friendswood Independent School District officials scheduled the flare to begin at 8 a.m. and said it will last around four hours. The flare will burn near the local bus barn at 400 Woodlawn Drive.
Friendswood ISD said the flare is a normal process for the propane tank's maintenance.
The Fire Marshal's Office will oversee the scheduled burn and the Friendswood Volunteer Fire Department will have a fire truck on the site should any unexpected emergencies arise.
