HUFFMAN, Texas – One man was under arrest Friday in connection with a home invasion in Huffman, which investigators said ended after the homeowner fired at the man and his brother, scaring them off.
Harris County Precinct 3 deputy constables arrested Bradley Turner on Thursday. He is charged with burglary.
Investigators said they identified the suspect through fingerprints left at the crime scene.
The home invasion happened in the 28500 block of Yonder Way in Huffman about 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
Deputies said two men broke into the garage of the home and piled up some of the residents' belongings.
The woman hid her 10-year-old son in the closest, grabbed a rifle, and confronted one of the thieves. She fired one shot, scaring them off.
Deputies are also looking for Dennis Turner, Bradley's brother.
Deputies said the two have lengthy criminal records, including burglaries, thefts, and assaults.
"I consider them to be dangerous people," said Lt. Terry Ganey, of Harris County Precinct 3.
Deputies believe the two are targeting their own neighbors.
"All the neighbors want them out. They're all talking about it," said Reuben Burk, 82, who lives across the street from the Turners.
Burk said Dennis Turner attacked him after their dogs got into a fight in the front lawn last year.
"He slapped me up side the head. Knocked my head off," said Burk.
"I want them back in prison. Before they moved out here, we had a nice neighborhood," he added.
Dennis Turner also has two unrelated warrants for other arrests.
