HOUSTON – Police are looking for two men who kicked their way into a southwest Houston apartment, pretending to be officers, and shot the victim to steal his Play Station.
Investigators said two men showed up at an apartment in the 12900 block of Brant Rock Drive near the Westpark Tollway and yelled to the man inside, "Police, open the (expletive) door." Before he had the chance, the robbers kicked the door in and began firing, the resident said.
Police said Antonio Jerrell Ary and Rafeal Kinshasha Ross, both 19, were the robbers. They targeted a Nigerian immigrant named Adetokunbo Owolabi.
Owolabi was shot in the arm. He went to the back patio and jumped 20 feet to the ground.
Officials said the only thing the robbers took was Owolabi's Play Station 3 game system.
Police said Ary and Ross have been charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon and are still on the loose. They are considered armed and dangerous. Ary is a Westside gang member and the one who shot Owolabi, officials said.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
