Sharson Adams, one of the organizers for the New Year's Eve Live Show downtown, gave KPRC Local 2 an inside look on what it takes to put on the big show.
"This is our dress rehearsal," said Adams with Houston's First Corporation
"There are a lot of elements to this," she added. "There's the family zone that has to be checked out, the Bud Light scoop celebration zone, the arts carts parade, three musical acts. We have to test everything."
The stage stretches from the convention center to Discovery Green.
At the Hyatt Regency, preparations were under way for the biggest balloon drop party in the city.
"A wall of balloons from one side to the other atrium. We're going to have three sets of entertainment going on," said Leo Hamel, the manager of the hotel.
