District Clerk pleads guilty to assault
No description foundHOUSTON – An elected official has pleaded guilty to assaulting a family member.
Galveston County District Clerk Jason Murray was sentenced to two years probation for the crime.
Investigators said Murray's wife, Houston attorney Mekisha Jane Murray, said her husband beat her in an SUV on Dec. 8.
Mekisha Jane Murray was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital with severe injuries and bruises.
