CLUTE, Texas – A woman has been accused of beating up a child.
Ginger Williams Ayers, 36, has been charged with injury to a child with intent to cause bodily injury.

Clute police said several children were calling each other names and cursing at an apartment complex swimming pool in the 4000 block of Lakeview on Saturday night.
Detectives said Ayers walked up to an 11-year-old boy who was standing on the front balcony of his apartment.
Ayers put the boy in a headlock and hit him several times in the ribs, stomach and face, police said.
The boy suffered a cut on the nose and his eyeglasses were damaged, officials said.
Investigators said Ayers told the boy's mother that she hit the child because he was being rude.
Ayers was booked into the Brazoria County Jail with bond set at $10,000.
