Man Accused Of Killing Wife Blames Suicide

HOUSTON – A man has been accused of killing his wife in their southwest Houston apartment and then reporting it as a suicide.

The body of Ines Aguilar, 31, was discovered at a unit in the Chelsea Lane apartments in the 8000 block of Boone Road near Beechnut Street on Sunday at 11:55 a.m.

Officers were sent to the complex on a suicide call. When they arrived, they found Aguilar's body, investigators said.

However, bruising on Aguilar's neck was not consistent with the reported method of suicide, police said.

The victim's husband, Salome Nicanor Juarez, 33, was taken into custody and questioned. Police said Juarez admitted to assaulting his wife prior to her death. He faces a murder charge.
