JERSEY VILLAGE, Texas – A Jersey Village man has been accused of raping a child after he drugged her, investigators said.
Billy Walker Barrett, 43, of Acapulco Drive, has been charged with sexual assault of a child.

In their arrest warrant, Harris County Sheriff's Office detectives wrote that he picked up a family friend back in May, telling her he needed to run by his house to pick up clothes.
The 14-year-old girl told investigators he gave her a soda and, within minutes of drinking it, she could no longer walk and she fell asleep.
Detectives said she woke up as she was being sexually assaulted.
She told detectives that Barrett was naked and she only had her underwear on when she awoke.
Sheriff's detectives told Local 2 News he was arrested Wednesday morning.
His bail was set at $20,000.
No one answered the door at the home where neighbors said he lived with his father.
