HFD: Man Found Impaled On Metal Fence Crews Say Metal Spear Punctured Man's Leg As He Was Climbing Fence
HOUSTON – Authorities in Houston said a man was found impaled on a metal fence overnight.
At about 12:45 a.m., the Houston Fire Department said it was called to a home on Dunbar Street near Norhill Boulevard where they found a man hanging by his leg on a metal rod fence.
Crews said he apparently was trying to climb over the fence, when he slipped, and one of the pointed spears at the top went through his leg.
The spear went completely though and he was hanging by his leg, according to fire officials.
Fire crews had to cut the fence and take the piece that was in his leg to the hospital.
Neighbors said they were not sure if he was living at the home as one of the roommates of the owner.
There was no word on the man's condition.
