Pump Patrol: Save 40 cents a gallon

HOUSTON – The average cost of a gallon of gas in Houston is $3.49. But some stations around town sold regular gas for 40 cents less

The following three stations sold gas for less on Friday, according to www.GasBuddy.com.

• CITGO, Hwy 6 & Hwy 35, Alvin: $3.58 for diesel
  
• Sam's Club, Gulf Fwy & FM 1764, La Marque: $3.32 for diesel
  
• Murphy USA, Gulf Fwy & FM 1764, La Marque: $3.09 for regular
