265,000 reusable bags to be given away by H-E-B on Earth Day

Beginning at 1 p.m. on April 22, 265,000 bags will be distributed across Texas (HEB)

H-E-B is marking Earth Day with its annual giveaway of reusable bags, emphasizing sustainability efforts. This year, 265,000 bags will be distributed to customers across Texas, starting April 22 at 1 p.m. at all H-E-B, Central Market, Joe V’s Smart Shop and Mi Tienda locations.

The bag design features Big Bend Ranch Texas State Park, part of a series highlighting beloved state parks. According to the company, H-E-B has distributed more than three million reusable bags since 2008.

Additionally, 675 Texas schools participated in H-E-B’s Annual School Plastic Bag Recycling Challenge, collecting over five million plastic bags. The schools that collected the most plastic bags will receive H-E-B gift cards as prizes.
