HOUSTON – The Houston Astros are continuing their fall run and the weather is finally turning cooler. That means fans have full permission to grab some new gear to celebrate the home team.

Right?

That’s what we’re telling ourselves. Feel free to use our excuse when you hit “purchase.” We don’t mind.

But where to start? You could try the stores in town or at Minute Maid or the official online store. Here are a few things we’ve got our eye on -- this eye-catching Hawaiian-inspired shirt, this orange jacket with the sweet shine of success and this Biggio jersey that’s all-the-rainbow things.

But what else is out there? Here’s a list of unique merch -- focusing mostly on wearable gear -- that caught our eye this postseason. (And if you’re interested, take a look at the links at the bottom of this article for a look back at some of the merchandise writeups that have a bunch of favorites from Astros’ wins past -- still interested in that Kate Upton sweater? We know...)

State Line Designs:

We’re adding this design house as a general recommendation because its gear is spot-on and speaks directly to the Houston fan. Why? We’ve got a theory: The owner really knows what’s up in H-town. Why? She lives in Houston. Because seriously, who knows us better than ourselves? No one.

Ellyse Espinoza is the owner and designer of State Line Designs, which started in 2014. She started an Etsy page in order to make designs with comfort and style in mind.

Espinoza shared a special code for KPRC 2 Insiders. It’s for 10% off your purchase. Use code kprcinsider at the time of purchase.

Astrober flag.

You’d be hard-pressed to find something cuter than this for your yard as you celebrate the Astros. At 15.99, it’s a steal to celebrate both the Astros and Halloween as the team continues its spooky-good run into the postseason.

Best plays ever.

We know, we promised lots of wearable gear, but these coasters are too good to pass up. Especially for that person you know who has all the t-shirts. This stack of coasters celebrates the team’s best moments. Something to savor after a long day with your favorite drink.

Vintage amazingness.

If you’re looking for something that looks vintage, is simple to pair with jeans and brings the fun of baseball in Houston to mind, this shirt is perfect. The t-shirt has the Astros name and an astronaut sliding down a shooting star. We’re charmed by this design.

If you’re into navy blue -- or spill everything on yourself regularly.

The previous shirt is for the ideal day when handling food is not on the docket. However, for the real folks among us, darker shirts make more sense on game day. Hotdogs and beer always manage to land right on us. But it wouldn’t be game day without that fun, right? Or maybe we’re just strangely clumsy. Anyway, this shirt is navy and likely a better choice for those stain-prone among us. The design still has the vintage astronaut charm and the Astros charm without being overt.

Here’s a more modern take on the astronaut design we really like. Especially because it’s also a dark shirt.

“Sandlot” remade.

A lot of the gear in 2022 is inspired by the childhood of the makers. And they’ve certainly tapped into something. This t-shirt is all about re-making the cover of the beloved hit movie “The Sandlot” with the heads of the Astros players. Smashing together the love of the movie and the love of the Astros is just brilliant.

Houston. We don’t have a problem.

This shirt is a reaction to this Seattle shirt. Winning is sweet, no? Here’s another reaction shirt if you’re really into this back-and-forth.
