HOUSTON – Daring acrobatics, cutting-edge technology, and bold visuals are filling the Big Top at Sam Houston Race Park as Cirque du Soleil ECHO impresses audiences of all ages.
The performance is Cirque du Soleil’s 20th Big Top show and includes never-before-seen acrobatic feats.

“The creative intention for ECHO was to try and create something our fans haven’t experienced yet in a big top,” said Mukhtar Omar Sharif Mukhtar, Director of ECHO on the Cirque du Soleil website.
Five fun ECHO facts
- The cast includes 51 artists representing 19 nationalities.
- ECHO is the first ever Cirque du Soleil show to feature 6 live vocalists, with most of the musicians also singing at some part in the show.
- The CUBE at the heart of the show is roughly the size of a two-story apartment building and weighs approximately twelve tons. During one point in the show, one of the CUBE’s walls supports 40 artists.
- Real flames are used at the base of the CUBE, which means everything had to be made fireproof.
- ECHO was originally going to be released in 2020 by the name Under the Same Sky, but was forced into a hiatus due to the global pandemic.
