Dr. Dre’s home targeted in burglary attempt following his hospitalization, police say

Hours following the announcement that rap mogul Dr. Dre was hospitalized for treatment of a brain aneurysm, his West Los Angeles home became the target of an attempted burglary on Tuesday night, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

According to NBC News, officers responded to a report of an attempted burglary in which suspects were seen “coming over a hill” near the Brentwood Country Estates community.

In 2014, Dre purchased a $40 million mansion in the neighborhood previously owned by Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen, according to Los Angeles Times.

According to LAPD, four suspects were arrested and an investigation is underway.

According to TMZ, officers believe the suspects targeted the mogul’s home after first reports of his hospitalization broke on Monday.

On Tuesday night, the star took to Instagram to share an update with his followers saying, “I’m doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team. I will be out of the hospital and back home soon.”
