As Seen On TV Tuesday: True Touch Glove

A wet nose, four legs and a warm heart.  We love our furry friends, but sometimes the fur on our fur babies can get out of control. The True Touch Deshedding Glove promises to trick your pets into sitting still for a good brushing.

Ann Walker has two dogs that hate being brushed. She saw the True Touch Glove commercial and immediately thought of Cooper and Logan.

"I use one of those shredder brushes because they're long haired, but they hate it... so I don't brush them often; and therefore they shed all over my floor," Walker  explained.

The commercial makes the glove look easy for pets and pet owners.
"Your pet will enjoy a relaxing massage while the over 180 soft silicone grooming tips reach deep down to loosen and pull away hair, dirt and debris," the announcer claims.

Cooper, who usually runs when Walker tries to brush him actually sat and cozied up to Walker when she used the True Touch glove.
"He would never do this with a dog brush," Walker said.

Walker is a leftie. The True Touch Glove fits only on a right hand; but Cooper and Logan loved it nonetheless.

"I think it's not as advertised, but it's not bad,' said Walker after several minutes of brushing the dogs.

In the commercial, one swipe of the glove nets a mitt full of hair. Then the hair easily peels off in one piece. In real life, all the hair doesn't come off the glove so cleanly.

"It's just a little bit more work," said Walker.

For all the enjoyment her pups get out of it and the hair that won't end up on the floor, Walker says she would pay $14.99 for the True Touch Glove. We bought it at Fry's. You can also buy them at Target and on Amazon.
