The Women’s Resource is dedicated to empowering women and girls by providing programs focused on education and advocacy. Their mission is to help women overcome financial challenges and build stronger, healthier lives for themselves and their families.
The nonprofit offers free educational workshops and coaching sessions designed to increase women’s financial planning knowledge and skills. Topics include financial literacy and career development, aimed at fostering independence and self-sufficiency.
The Women’s Resource also partners with local high schools on the RISE! program to help give teen girls a strong foundation in financial literacy. The program works with girls to ensure they commit to continuing their education post-high school or have the tools they need to pursue a career.
The impact of The Women’s Resource can be seen in the lives of the women they serve. Through compassionate support and practical education, The Women’s Resource makes a meaningful difference in the community, helping women thrive and succeed with increased confidence, improved mental health and greater economic stability.
You can support The Women’s Resource by donating, volunteering or engaging with the nonprofit at one of their events. The organization’s Make A Difference luncheon will take place on Friday, May 8 at the Royal Sonesta Houston Galleria.
KPRC 2 and our partners at Energy Transfer and Houston Christian University proud to feature The Women’s Resource in our KPRC 2 Community January spotlight.
