In October, KPRC 2 was there when 6-year-old Kyssi Andrews was sworn in as an honorary state trooper.
She was fighting a rare, aggressive form of cancer that had spread from her kidneys to her lungs.
Her dream was to keep the roads safe.
In December 2013, Channel 2 reporter Phil Archer was doing a story about a holiday blood drive at MD Anderson when he met Kyssi.
Kyssi's mother shared the sad news Sunday morning that her daughter has died.
We would like to send our deepest condolences to Kyssi's family.
