Your weather team continues to track a flood watch for the next 24+ hours. Details below -Brittany
The NWS issued a flood watch starting tonight at 10 pm and set to expire Thursday night.
We could see 2-5" of rainfall north of I-10, with isolated totals exceeding 6-9".
Not only is there a flood threat, but there is also a risk of severe weather. The primary threat is damaging winds.
We are anticipating an organized, strong line to move through the overnight hours.
This line will push from the NW to the SE. Houston's timing will be between 6 and 9 a.m.
Starting Sunday we dry out and heat up with temperatures in the 90s next week.
Make sure to go to bed early tonight! You may need to wake up early because the rain plus slow drive times could make your morning drive messy and stressful!
Your weather team will update you on the conditions on TV and online.
