Thursday Evening Storm Recap:
A line of powerful storm called a derecho moved through the Houston area Thursday evening, especially towards our northern region. A part of the storm even produced and EF-1 tornado with winds at 110 mph in the Cypress area.
Tonight’s Forecast:
Showers continue to stay mainly south of I-10 Friday evening, most should begin to clear by 7 pm. The rain will wrap up as the night goes on but may develop fog creating reduced visibility.
Saturday’s Forecast:
We are in for heat this weekend reaching the 90s. The warm-up is paired with sunshine. Remember to stay hydrated and find a place to cool down if you are without power.
10-Day Forecast:
No storms are expected next week. But this pattern is much more of a summertime pattern with heat and humidity through Saturday of next week.
