Woman in critical condition after being stabbed by 20-year-old son in Porter

PORTER, Texas – A 43-year-old woman is being treated for non-life threatening injuries, but authorities say she is in critical condition after being stabbed by her son in Porter Wednesday.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said it happened around 4 p.m. in the 21000 block of Tanner Trail N. in Porter.

Deputies arrived and found that the woman had been stabbed multiple times by her 20-year-old son. He was found inside the home and was detained.

The woman was taken to a hospital where she is in critical condition, but according to the sheriff’s office, her injuries are not life-threatening.

“Detectives with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Homicide and Violent Crimes Unit, along with Crime Scene Investigators, are currently on scene and investigating the incident. At this time, there is no threat to the public,” the sheriff’s office said.

The investigation continues.
