Woman accused of giving man drugs which led to his 2023 overdose death in Montgomery County

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas – A woman has been arrested, accused of giving a man drugs which led to his death by an overdose in Montgomery County.

The Montgomery County Precinct 3 Constable’s Office said they were dispatched to a home in the Turnbury Village subdivision on Oct. 7, 2023. When they arrived, they found the body of a man who appeared to have died of a drug overdose.

Deputies also found a woman, identified as Cherry Rose, who appeared to be under the influence and was transported to a hospital.

“During the course of the investigation, Detectives learned that victim died a result of an overdose from multiple drugs including heroin and fentanyl. Through the process of investigation which involved search warrants, and the analysis of electronic devices, Detectives learned that Cherry supplied the victim with the narcotics which led to his death,” the constable’s office said.

On Apr. 26, authorities arrested Rose. She has been charged with delivery of a controlled substance causing death.

She was transported to the Montgomery County Jail and is being held on a $100,000 bond.

“Constable Ryan Gable’s Office is committed to combatting the epidemic of fentanyl-related overdose deaths, and arresting those who supply this dangerous drug to others,” the constable’s office said.
