Friday's forecast: Slight chance for evening showers

HOUSTON – After a record cold start to the week, we finish with temperatures 15 degrees warmer than normal.

Ahead of a front passing through Friday night, the southerly winds will keep Southeast Texas' high temps in the low 70s. The rain chance is 30 percent for areas south of I-10 and higher for cities north of Conroe.

The front passing through in the evening means plenty of sunshine for the weekend with no rain and high temperatures near the mid 70s both days!

High pressure will stay in control and we can expect to see above normal highs for the next seven days with no rain in the forecast at least through Thursday.
